Welcome to St Mark’s Church, South Farnborough
St Mark’s is a welcoming Church of England parish at the heart of the South Farnborough and North Camp communities.
Since the 1880s, St Mark’s has been part of our town's life, and we continue to be a place of faith, friendship, worship, and community for people of all ages and backgrounds.
At St Mark’s, we celebrate being an open and inclusive church where everyone is welcome. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after many years, or have been part of church life for a long time, you will always find a warm welcome here.
Our church life is centred around:
- Faith
- Fellowship
- Friendship
- Food
We come together as the family of Christ to worship God, support one another, and share life together as a community.
Worship at St Mark’s
Our main Sunday service takes place every week at 10:30am and includes Holy Communion, Bible readings, hymns, prayers, and activities for children and families. After the service, there is always time for tea, coffee, cake, and conversation together.
On the first and third Sundays of each month, we also hold a traditional Eucharist service at 8:00am. This is a peaceful and reflective service following the beautiful traditions of Anglican worship.
On the first Sunday of each month, the 8:00am service is followed by our much-loved Parish Breakfast in the Church Hall before the 10:30am service. Everyone is very welcome to join us.
Each Friday, the church is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with Morning Prayer at 9:20am.
Open Church
At St Mark’s, we believe the church should be open to everyone.
We try not to place barriers between people. Instead, we welcome one another as we are, just as Jesus welcomes us. We are a friendly and supportive church family where people can worship, grow in faith, make friendships, and share life together.
Our prayer is that St Mark’s continues to be a place of hope, encouragement, kindness, and belonging within our local community.
Children, Families & Community
Families and children are an important part of life at St Mark’s.
During our Sunday worship, younger members of our church family are invited to take part in activities and learning in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Throughout the year, we also enjoy community events, shared meals, seasonal celebrations, and opportunities to spend time together both inside and outside the church.
